2008-12-20 Snowstorm
Our first major "snow event" after our move back to Rhode Island.

12-13-08 Ice Forest
A wonderful collection of ice crystals which grew out of the soil after heavy rains followed by a freeze overnight.
The crystals were seeded by pieces of crushed oyster shells that were in the soil.

12-12-08 Horseshoe Falls, Shannock RI
This is a great waterfall in Shannock, RI.  As with most man-made waterfalls in RI, it was originally built for a mill.
The remnants of the mill can still be seen near the waterfall.

Our first snow in Rhode Island
It wasn't a lot of snow, but it was our first since the cold arrived.
